Innovative tech start-up ArtofUs is joining Jobs Expo Dublin. This is a fantastic chance to meet a cutting edge company creating the technology of tomorrow.

About AoU

ArtofUs (AoU) is a pioneering new software company. They have developed the world’s first Human Operating System for service application developers in the Internet of Things (IOT) market. New applications and services can be created on top of this foundation.

The first AoU based services provider offerings for Home, Work and Play will come to market in China, Europe and North America in 2017. Some of the biggest brand names in tech and cloud  computing will launch AoU enables services.

ArtofUs have their headquarters in London, in addition to operations in Dublin and China.

AoU’s work is state of the art. It offers many frontier challenges in vision data analytics, algorithm development and large-scale message bus and server cloud related environments.

There are a number of great opportunities for engineers at Jobs Expo Dublin this October. We have a dedicated STEM Sector, and one of the big names recruiting at the event is Suir Engineering.

“Our main areas of activity would be in pharmaceuticals, data centres, power stations, wind farms, heavy industry and commercial buildings,” explains business development director, David Phelan.

“We have over five hundred people working for us across the island of Ireland.

“We offer our clients electrical and mechanical contracting service. Our main areas of activity currently are with companies such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, West Pharma, Genzyme, MSD, Bausch & Lomb, Intel, SSE, ESB and Dairygold.”

From small beginnings…

Suir Engineering was originally set up thirty-five years ago in south Kilkenny. They began as a small, local business. In their early days, the company focused on the food and diary industries.

Suir is now part of the Imtech UK and Ireland group of companies. Headquartered in Ashford and with offices throughout the UK and Ireland, the Group is one of the largest managed technical service providers in the UK and Ireland with annual turnover now exceeding €400m.

Investing in people and relationships

Part of Suir’s growth strategy is investment in their people.

“We are a direct employee business and train and develop our own people,” explains David. “Clients recognise and appreciate this. Our business is about our people, our culture and our strategy. Operational excellence and innovation is at the centre of everything we do.”

The aim, says David, is for Suir Engineering  to become the most respected, sustainable technical services business in Ireland and internationally.

“As a broad-based technical services provider we meet all our clients' needs. This starts from design support of mechanical and electrical systems through to the installation and whole-life maintenance and management of these assets. Plus, with the increasing pressures on our energy resources, we continually endeavour to provide low-carbon solutions, wherever possible,” he says.

Relationships, says David, are a key part of that aim.

“Relationships are what it is all about – giving the customer what they want and what they need and meeting their future requirements.”

This strategy is working, with the company continuing to grow both domestically and internationally.

“There is great momentum behind the growth,” says David. “The future is bright and very positive.”
