We are a leader in providing community-based services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families in Galway and Roscommon. The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland West Region provide a range of services for people with an intellectual disability ranging from early childhood services to a variety of programmes for Adults. Services are developed according to the support each individual requires and what is important them. Services include educational, day, residential, respite, family support, multidisciplinary support services, and support to individuals who live independently.

We support people to have ordinary life experiences and to be closely connected to family and friends. We aim to support each individual to:

  • Live as independently as they wish
  • Make their own decisions about how they live and access advocacy support when needed.
  • Have innovative supports that meet their wishes
  • Uphold their rights as citizens
  • Be actively involved in their local community
  • Have a network of family and friends in their life
