We are currently recruiting for an ICT Manager / Database Administratorfor a client site in Clonmel, Co Tipperary, who will also cover a sister site in Waterford. The ideal person will ensure that business ICT systems are effectively maintained to support the overall plant performance & efficiencies.

Responsibilities

What you can expect to do in this role:

 

  • Manage and lead IT business management systems i.e. Syspro, to meet Divisional & Corporate business needs and objectives in compliance with relevant policies and standards
  • Act as master security officer for system software applications
  • Design, test and implement modifications or upgrades to existing DB business systems including Warehouse Management Systems & other ERP related software’s auto mail / data switch / EDI with suppliers & customers
  • Ensure system security, user access and disaster recovery procedures are tested and maintained in up-to-date manner for both sites
  • Coordinate assigned projects and/or activities to meet agreed business objectives and delivered in line with project plans for each site
  • Data Extraction and measurement for MS users in a consistent manner
  • Deliver on budgets and forecasts within the ICT Department
  • Support performance management and employee development programmes
  • Keep appraised of changes/advancements in DB ICT business management systems
  • Assist with other administration functions as may be required from time to time eg Network onsite issues

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Third level qualification in a relevant IT discipline or equivalent experience in a dynamic 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong IT and analytical skills and a high level of competence in solution based problem resolution
  • Excellent communication, organizational & interpersonal skills required
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one’s own initiative Demonstrate excellent IT skills
