We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Media Manager to join our Media team. The Media Manager will be responsible for the development and the deployment of the media strategy in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, working closely with agencies, the Marketing team and the wider team across the organisation to ensure all brand and creative plans are brought to life through every communication touchpoint.

Your Tasks

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of the media strategy at a campaign level – this includes project management across all relevant areas and teams with responsibility for campaign delivery
  • Ownership and quality control of the whole media planning process from strategy to delivery, incorporating any amends or adjustments required at any stage throughout
  • Development of strong and highly collaborative relationships with media owners to ensure the highest standards in innovation and delivery of ideas – fundamental to this is the briefing process
  • Ensure the continuous delivery of the highest standard of output of the media plan, included in this is ensuring appropriate and seamless digital integration into the strategic thinking and output
  • Prepare, forecast and manage the media budget for both markets, providing monthly updates
  • Create and manage the modelling tools that identify the impact of different marketing and media activities on consumer behaviour
  • Establish and monitor performance benchmarks, KPIs and media cost with agencies, providing detailed analysis and updates on key success metrics
  • Monitor the media marketplace to remain updated on latest media trends and utilise third-party research to analyse the market and translate into strategy
  • Coordinate, manage and evaluate media audits
  • Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities
  • Deliver on time and within budget that meets (and hopefully exceeds) expectations
  • Operational oversight of the Media team, allocation of team resources and management of timelines
  • Responsible for the development and motivation of junior team members

Your Profile

  • Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing or a related discipline
  • 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A natural interest in all media channels
  • Experience in managing large-scale, complex media campaigns is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and great presentation skills
  • An ability to work easily and collaboratively with others and also self-manage and work on own initiative
  • A strong desire to build relationships with agencies and all team members we interact with in Lidl
  • Previous experience in managing a small team
  • High level of business and financial acumen
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office systems
  • Full clean driving licence
