About the role: 

Boston Scientific is looking for an experienced, Senior level Software Developer to develop, enhance, document and support SAP MDG projects within an SAP Center of Excellence. The candidate should have worked on implementation projects for SAP MDG where they’ve supported and led the implementation.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Support in consulting, design and realization of sustainable master data management solutions based on SAP MDG.
  • Expertise in Implementation of SAP MDG Solution for Domains like Material, Customer, Vendor, Finance.
  • Expertise in Data Model Enhancement, Data Transfer, Data Replication Framework, Business Rules Framework plus
  • Experience in Configuring sequential and parallel rule-based Workflows with dynamic agent selection.
  • Experience in implementing MDG BADI’s with complex scenarios like reading change log, handling custom data model entities, auto approval of workflow steps.
  • Experience in designing MDG user roles.
  • Experience in MDG Error handling tools to provide effective support during testing and hyper care.
  • Experience in Integrating business process requirements with the technical implementation of SAP
  • Experience in MDG workpackage implementation (e.g. workflow development and extension, implementation of data validations and derivations, interface development and extension, custom reports.)
  • Experience working of interface technology ALE/Idoc, monitoring and error analysis (for master data distribution)
  • Expertise in the use of master data in the business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people in other areas across the enterprise (geographical and functional) to accomplish desired outcomes
  • Creates and maintains system documentation according to the IS methodology (proposals, designs, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary)
  • Accountable for technical issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction
  • Researches and applies new technologies, development techniques and best practices by leveraging experience, industry contacts, seminars, and books
  • Leverages software version control tools and provides software configuration management support
  • Works closely with the project team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution
  • Adheres to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identifies dependencies and resource requirements
  • Appropriately communicates project status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items
  • Assists in implementing policies and procedures to facilitate efficient operations
  • Peer review other developers code for logic, best practices, and coding standards
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities


Management Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively perform across different work groups and divisions towards the achievement of organizational goals

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)


What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10-12 years of experience in SAP, with minimum 6-8 years of experience working in SAP MDG.
  • Should have worked in 5-6 SAP MDG implementations with excellent skills in workflow and BADI.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, including BRF, ABAP, WebDynpro, FPM and UI5.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Fiori Apps development/Fiori Launchpad.
  • Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial.
