PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the role of a Key Account Manager in our Global Head Office situated in Westport. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify opportunities to expand and grow sales with international key accounts
  • Point of contact for key accounts developing and maintaining effective relationships with the customer at all levels
  • Work closely with the sales teams in the market to have a full understanding of the key account’s needs
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure their market & sales teams are receiving the necessary
    service
  • Liaise with Marketing to plan, forecast and deliver marketing activities within key accounts in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate pertinent information and update the field sales team on all promotions
  • Support wider Commercial Team on day to day queries and activities as required
  • Working closely with supply chain team to manage service level for customer account – In alignment with internal processes for forecasting / stock management
  • Understand existing customer relationships and their requirements
  • Management of customer process inputs: promotions, pricing, new product details
  • Professional timely and accurate communication to Customers and internal stake holders
  • Help manage and develop key customer relationships
  • Analyse sales and KPI reports and recommend how the sales team can adjust to increase sales
  • Responsible for analysing weekly sales data and providing weekly reports for management
  • Conduct market research and perform analysis including creation of detailed business plan
  • Contribute to overall team performance, including support and assistance to other team members

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/MS degree in business or related field
  • 5+ years’ commercial experience. International experience is a plus but not a requirement
  • Highly creative & proactive with ability to think out of box
  • Interest in sales and improving the sales process
  • Project Management skills and experience
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets – Strong Financial Acumen
