Purpose :  To provide professional engineering service and support during the production shift, manage and resolve production downtime.  Carry out preventative maintenance schedules, daily condition monitoring and corrective actions.  To provide engineering direction and support to the Production Stream.

Responsibilities will include :

Operate and monitor factory equipment whilst in operation and stand by condition, take action within defined limits to correct deviation from recognised operating parameters in order to maintain operational safety, security of supply and efficiency.
Create, plan, monitor & close work orders, develop traceable asset histories and record spare parts transactions on PEMAC
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance completing all associated paperwork and records  to ensure all equipment data is accurate and kept up to date.
Maintain critical spares inventory on site and reduce total cost of maintenance by effective scheduling ot the maintenance programs.
Ability to assess and deal with minor electrical issues.
Manage contractors on site, issue permits and attend risk assessments.
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives as appropriate.
Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary.
Ensuring adherence to H&S procedures, where necessary develop & implement additional controls and processes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications/Work Experience:

Trades Qualified Electrical with strong Mechanical Knowledge.
Min 3 yrs exposure to working within a Maintenance Environment in a high volume facility ideally food/beverage.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work on own initative, work to tight deadlines / under pressure.
Strong PC skills and good knowledge of CMMS – ideally PEMAC
Good problem solving skills.
