About the role
This Group Marketing role sits within the Marketing Communications team to help drive the transformation of our brand for internal (employees, stakeholders and senior leadership) and external audiences (retailers, international shoppers, tourists, financial institutions and partners) within the international payments ecosystem.
We must ensure that all sales and communications touchpoints reflect not just our Brand Guidelines, but are digital-first, modern and fresh.
This role will help us go beyond expectations in an industry that is slowly moving away from traditional and hardcopy marketing communications approaches. We aim to accelerate this evolution, and position our brand as driving the adoption and use of digital communications, technology and payment methods.

What you will do at Planet
A skilled Digital Designer who will be working on multiple design streams within the Group Marketing team. The successful Digital Designer will have experience creating and delivering content across multiple channels whilst exemplifying Brand Guidelines.
You will need to be able to work alongside other designers and on your own initiative, as well as being a highly organised and reliable team player as we continually search for better and evolve our brand.
Complementing our existing Design team, this is a varied role involving the following key result areas:
Corporate CommunicationsCollaborating with the Marketing Communications team and our digital agency to maintain our website and ensure our app, and third party integrations, are optimised
Driving the evolution of our Planet Intelligence reports and webinars, including best practice for communicating these valuable assets to the respective audiences (e.g. animated and interactive infographics)
Seamlessly communicating with B2B and B2C audiences, whether via the web or social media channels, or via mobile devices and tablets
Work with other members of the Design Studio and MarComms team on integrated marketing campaigns and a range of brand requirements (on and offline)
Listening, understanding and collaborating with the team and peers across the business to ensure only the best, highest quality work is delivered
Digital CommunicationsEnsuring the design and branding elements of our online footprint reflects our new digital brand
Forging and executing exciting digital ideas, including new digital ways to communicate internally and externally
Taking a lead role for video production (e.g. internal and external corporate videos, customer training videos, and customer testimonials)
Encouraging others to share and explore new digital ideas
Collaborating across the business to drive up standards of digital creativity
Sales CollateralDevising and collaborating on customer presentation material (e.g Powerpoint design and layout)
Taking a lead role in pitch materials for prospect meetings
Creating and implementing new templates and procedures for sales and marketing collateral (e.g. case studies)
Work closely with training division to support and advise on eLearning (e.g explainer animations and infographics)
What you will need to bring to Planet
Two / three years’ digital design experience
Experience as a Digital Designer working across multiple streams is essential
Previous experience working in B2B, B2C and B2B2C environments, and knowledge of best practice across each audience
Experience working on video and animation content for a variety of marketing channels is essential
Previous experience working on print is valuable, but not essential
Previous experience working in – and understanding of – marketing, brand and communications
Experience in managing multiple stakeholders often with competing priorities, working with them to align and gain approval
Commercially-minded, with a strong focus on KPIs, performances analysis and delivery – this role is passionate about supporting the business to grow sales
Highly literate in digital marketing, in particular assessing which channels are most appropriate for which communications activities
Skilled at aligning tactical outputs with business strategy
Strong and varied portfolio of digital work
Experience of delivering a wide range of work from UI & UX, HTML emails, digital advertising, engaging presentations & video / animations
The confidence to present and rationalise concepts to stakeholders
Knowledge of typography, layout, colour and grid structures
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects and Premiere Pro
Knowledge of these software packages and languages:InDesign
