Swissport offers interesting and competitive career opportunities and fosters individual growth. Personal commitment, professionalism and diversity support us in our pursuit of an excellent service delivery.
On behalf of our airline customers, we served some 82 million airline passengers in 2020 (2019: 265 million) making every journey special right from the start. In passenger services you assist travelers with check-in. You check travel documents, provide information about flights and skillfully handle the check-in process so that passengers and baggage are in the right place at the right time. At the departure gate you manage the boarding process, close the flight and coordinate with the airline crew to ensure a punctual departure.
Swissport’s service portfolio includes many tasks on the apron. For example, baggage handling and sorting, de-icing and anti-icing, fueling, pushback or towing of aircraft, and load control. The load control teams calculate weight and balance as well as trim for each aircraft to ensure a safe operation.
AIR CARGO HANDLING
From the acceptance of cargo, loading and unloading of aircraft, build-up and break-down of pallets and containers and their documentation, Swissport offers all basic cargo services. In air cargo handling you are also responsible for the distribution, temporary storage and control of shipments. These can include general, special and temperature-controlled cargo, such as perishables or pharmaceuticals.
In our Aspire airport lounges we welcome guests irrespective of airline or class of travel and offer amenities that ensure each stay is rewarding. For our customer airlines we check access eligibility to premium class lounges. As a lounge hospitality expert you also provide comprehensive flight information and offer support in the event of irregularities. On behalf of certain customer airlines you coordinate shuttle & limousine service for premium passengers.
