A brief history of B/E Aerospace

B/E Aerospace was first founded in 1987 with the acquisition of Bach Engineering. In April 1990, the company went public on NASDAQ, raising nearly $12 million. Two years later they acquired PTC Aerospace, Inc. and Aircraft Products Company. These transformed the company into a cabin interiors provider, and their name changed to B/E Aerospace, Inc.

Over the next 10 years, the company continued to acquire cabin interior equipment companies. This strengthened its position as an interiors provider. In 2001, they entered the distribution business with the acquisition of M&M Aerospace. They acquired Honeywell’s Consumables Solutions business in 2008. As a result, they became one of the world’s leading distributors of aerospace fasteners and consumables, and providers of logistics services.

Thanks to a culture that champions tireless innovation, uncompromising performance, and strategic growth, B/E Aerospace has evolved into an industry leader. They have over 10,000 employees and more than 35 major facilities around the world.
