The Dublin-based IT company is expanding following its partnership with Exclusive Networks. Exclusive Networks is a cybersecurity company that provides e-invoicing and accounts payable technology.

Kefron is hiring for roles in London and Dublin, however, the vast majority of positions will be Ireland-based. Kefron specialise in document and information management and plan to hire in the fields of customer support and experience as well as an emerging technology.

The jobs announcement comes as a result of their partnership with Exclusive Networks. This partnership will see the company enter 25 new markets across the globe. In addition, they will be investing €1 million into their growth strategy.

Kefron currently employs 120 people across Ireland and the UK and is a family-owned business. Exclusive Networks will be utilising their software to reduce manual data entry associated with processing supplier and vendor invoices.

Kefron will be providing a cloud-based accounts payable platform to Exclusive Networks’ global finance teams. The platform has been created by their in-house development team and utilises the most recent advancements in machine learning technology. It was created by a team of data engineering specialists.

Responding to the announcement, Kefron’s Managing Director, Paul Kearns said the new positions will only further improve their company’s capabilities and assist in helping them meet the needs of customers across the globe.

He said: “We are very proud to partner with Exclusive Networks and look forward to working with them as they look to a future of enhanced transformation.”

Group Director of Finance and Transformation at Exclusive Networks, Stephanie Riera responded that the company decided to partner with Kefron because they were one of few suppliers that could help with the company’s key requirements in e-invoicing and accounts payable automation.

She said: “E-invoicing is fast becoming a mandatory requirement in European countries. This means that by law, clients will need to submit documents in specific formats approved by the government to do business in that country.”

The e-invoicing market is continuing to grow immensely across the globe as a result of changing government policies and digitalisation. Kefron feels this partnership will assist Exclusive Networks in growing their business worldwide.

It is not uncommon for job listings to not include the salary or pay for a position. Ultimately, a lot of people on the job hunt apply to these roles only to find some do not meet their salary expectations or the pay is not a right match for their experience.

If you have fallen victim to this, luckily there is some good news here. The European Union has announced its plans to make it a requirement for job posts to include the pay or the salary.

On the European Parliament website, a briefing said that equal pay for equal work is one of the EU’s founding principles, enshrined in Article 157 of the Treaty of the Functioning of the European Union.

It also states that implementing and enforcing this remains to be challenging. In addition, because of the lack of transparency about pay in job posts, pay discrimination often goes unnoticed.

This process began in March of 2021 with the European Commission implementing a legislative proposal on binding pay transparency measures. The goal of doing so was to remove pay gaps between women and men through enforcement measures and transparency.

Additionally, though, it will enable potential employees to comprehend the job’s rate of pay, as phrases such as ‘based on the candidate’ or ‘a salary in line with the market’ will no longer be allowed to be used.

As a result, job advertisements on websites such as LinkedIn and Indeed may be required to have a set amount or a scale with the minimum and maximum a candidate should expect.

The European Council has also said that employers should indicate the initial pay range to be paid to future workers, whether this is in the advertisement or the conclusion of the employment contract.

Some have said this could lead to employers avoiding including pay details in their advertisements. The change will also make sure mandatory training for applicants is free of charge, with employers covering the costs. The exact details of the bill are not yet finalised but a draft report is expected to be released by the end of this month.

The Belfast start-up Regtick is looking to build out its tech team in Northern Ireland. Their choice to expand their team comes following the £1 million investment from Tom O’Gorman, a Newry-based entrepreneur.

They have plans to create up to 30 new roles after the closure of their seed funding round. Some of the positions currently up for grabs include senior front-end developer, senior DevOps engineer, and senior back-end development. The roles also allow for both hybrid and remote working. The company has created a risk, governance, and compliance platform for health and insurance, and financial services sectors. It utilises visually intuitive technology to assist clients in tracking their compliance and regulatory programmes. The platform was created for organisations with remote or distant teams and aims to assist staff from all locations to connect and save time.

Gary Lyons, Co-Founder, and CEO of Regtick said the funding would allow the company to expand its tech team and create new products for its customers. This includes building out its real-time analytics and risk management tools and to also facilitate R&D. The seed funding came from Tom O’Gorman, a Newry-based businessman who has since joined the company’s start-up team as their chairperson.

Speaking on this, Gary Lyons said the seed funding from Tom O’Gorman would bring about “considerable business acumen and experience” to their management team. He added: “We now look forward to accelerating our discussions with customers in our target global export markets and we are very much looking forward to exporting Regtick’s SaaS platform across the world stage.”

More job announcements from Regtick are expected so those interested are told to keep an eye on their website.

Revenue is currently hiring for clerical officers across Ireland. What’s more, the roles come with excellent pay. The positions pay between €485.60 and €795.40 weekly for the full-time roles.

Some of the responsibilities of the job are facilitating imports and exports through ports, mail centres, and airports, investigating tax and duty evasion, profiling and intelligence gathering, and detecting smuggling.

The role needs attendance on site on a 24/7 rostered basis. Because of this, a shift premium is payable. Whoever gets the position will be expected to work weekends and night shifts. The job description for the role also mentions that vacancies may become available in Dublin, Rosslare, Portarlington, and Athlone.

Revenue wants to hire candidates who possess these skills:

Successful candidates must also be able to work under pressure and have good IT and interpersonal skills, integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
