Version 1 have announced they are hiring for DevOps engineers, automation specialists, software developers and more at their brand-new digital development hub in Belfast.
Version 1 also announced plans for the new digital development hub in Belfast. The company has seen increased demand for digital and cloud solutions in both private and public sectors and it plans to hire 70 new IT staff by October 2021.
The company has been operating in Belfast since 2012 and was founded in Dublin in 1996. They have offices across the UK, India and Ireland which brings their total number of employees to 1,300 people. The announcement will see its Belfast team grow to 200.
The new roles announced will include cloud-native software developers, site reliability engineers, DevOps engineers, service designers, scrum masters, test automation specialists and product managers.
The company has clients in higher education, financial services, pharmaceuticals and more. Their new hub will cater to a ‘strong deals pipeline’, including a nearshore development contract with a wealth-management firm headquartered in London.

More than 200 new jobs have been created across the country by start-up companies.
Leo Varadkar, the Tánaiste has announced that 206 jobs are being spread over Sligo, Cork, Dublin and Kildare.
The high-tech roles are coming on stream at new start-up companies through IDA Ireland.
The companies creating these new jobs include ProSeach, National Technolodies, Eliatra and Hellios.
CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan comments on the job announcement. He says, “I am delighted to welcome these new companies to Ireland and assure them of IDA Ireland’s continued support as they embed themselves into Ireland’s business ecosystem.
"I particularly welcome the locational spread of these investments which shows that the technology offering, availability of talent and attractive work life balance in the regions resonates with overseas investors.
“Our value proposition and our agile and adaptable business environment remains intact despite the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and IDA Ireland continues to compete strongly for every investment won for Ireland,” added Martin Shanahan.

RSM will be hiring for a finance operations manager, bookkeeping specialists and more at its new Belfast financial shared-service centre.
The UK audit, tax and consulting company RSM has launched their new financial shared-service centre in Belfast. It will create 24 jobs in the region and represents an investment of £1.3 million.
The centre will focus on outsourced financial services for the company’s clients in the UK and internationally. These financial services include analytics services, bookkeeping and reporting and financial processing.
The new roles include a finance operations manager, financial bookkeeping specialists and a number of graduate jobs. These are supported by Invest NI funding of over £98,000.
Invest NI Director of Technology and Services, George McKinney said that Belfast is “ranked as the world’s top destination for financial technology investment projects”.
“This new outsourcing team in Belfast will help RSM to broaden the service it offers to its clients and play an important part in plans to expand into new international markets,” McKinney added. “Once in place, the jobs will generate over £650,000 in additional annual salaries.”
RSM’s Associate Director and head of the large corporate centre for outsourcing, Suzanne Willmott said the new Belfast facility will be crucial for increasing the company’s global service capabilities.
“We are always striving to better understand our clients’ requirements and know that there is a need to simplify, standardise and automate financial processes,” Willmott said. “This is especially important with the challenges businesses are facing at the moment.
“The new team in Belfast will mean we can now offer a complete end-to-end outsourced service to our global RSM clients through our NetSuite platform, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotic process automation.”
“The combination of highly skilled talent on offer in the local financial sector, and support from Invest NI, made Northern Ireland the best choice for this new team over far-shore locations.”
