Before becoming a coach, Aoife spent 15 years in the corporate world, working in market research in the FMCG industry. Her roles included managing large accounts, analysing data, presenting to non-technical audiences, managing and mentoring teams. She has lived and worked in Dublin, London, Perth and Sydney. She's currently studying for a MSc in Work and Organisational Behaviour.

Aoife's passionate about helping people to realise their full potential and working with organisations to ensure they hire the right people, and that those people feel motivated and have opportunities to learn and grow.

In her spare time she loves to travel – Aoife has been to all 7 continents, and has travelled solo through most of the world, with camera in hand. She enjoys meeting new people and trying new things. She keeps fit by doing yoga, Pilates, running and swimming.

About the Irish Prison Service

The Irish Prison Service is responsible for the provision of safe and secure custody, dignity of care and rehabilitation to people in custody for safer communities. The Irish Prison Service operates as an executive office within the Department of Justice and Equality (“the Department”). It is headed by a Director General supported by a number of Directors.

The Irish Prison Service is a key component in our country’s  Criminal Justice System ensuring safer community life. It employs approximately 3,400 uniformed and civilian staff. Currently, the Irish Prison Service estate is made up of 12 prisons; 10 closed Prisons (Arbour Hill, Castlerea, Cloverhill, Cork, Dochás, Limerick, Midlands, Mountjoy, Portlaoise, Wheatfield) and two Open Centres (Loughan House and Shelton Abbey).

Collette Bryson holds a Diploma in Life and Executive Coaching from Positive Success Group and a Certificate in Career Coaching from Irish Lifecoach Institute.  She came to coaching following a career in general legal practice spanning 20 years where she covered a wide variety of practice areas.  She is also a qualified mediator.

 

Collette established Engage Life Coaching, having made the decision (with the help of coaching) to step away from the legal profession.  She has a keen interest in career coaching; particularly in career changes.

 

She volunteers as a career coach at Jobcare, coaching unemployed people, has also facilitated their Jobnet course and has been a guest speaker with them on the topic of “Effective CV Production”. She has also volunteered at Intreo Job Fair and Future Sparks Festival for the last 2 years.

 

Collette is a strong believer in the natural potential of others and the power of positive thinking and strives to help others reach their goals.
