Dalata, Ireland’s largest hotel operator, to exhibit at Jobs Expo Dublin

Looking for jobs in the hospitality sector? We are delighted to announce that Dalata, Ireland’s largest hotel operator, has joined Jobs Expo Dublin.

Dalata is Ireland’s largest hotel operator. They have a current portfolio of 41 three and four-star hotels with over 8,000 rooms. Dalata successfully operate Ireland’s two largest hotel brands, the Clayton and the Maldron Hotels across Ireland and the UK, as well as managing a portfolio of partner hotels. They own 24 of these, 10 hotels operate under lease agreements, and 7 are under management agreements.

History of Dalata

Pat McCann founded Dalata in June 2007 with investment from TVC Holdings plc and clients of Davy Property Holdings. In 2007, Dalata acquired a group of companies from Choice Hotels Ireland. Then in 2008 the company rebranded its leased hotels under its own Maldron Hotels brand. Since 2007, Dalata has built a centralised management team with expertise across all areas of the hotel business.

Established in March 2009, Dalata Management Services (DMS) provides hotel operational and management expertise to receivers and banks. DMS offers a complete hotel management solution. As a result, they focus on the implementation of the operational and physical asset changes as well as the introduction of the appropriate systems and controls to maximise the return on the hotel. Hotels operated by DMS typically continue to trade under their own names as partner hotels.

The company has acquired 24 hotels since June 2014 in Ireland and the UK.
