CoolSculpting®
ZELTIQ’s first commercial product, the CoolSculpting® system, selectively reduces stubborn fat bulges that may not respond to diet or exercise.
The basis of the technology is the scientific principle that fat cells are more sensitive to cold that the overlying skin and surrounding tissues. It has been the subject of more than 120 podium presentations and more than 30 published articles around the world.
The CoolSculpting procedure safely delivers precisely controlled cooling. As a result, it gently and effectively targets the fat cells underneath the skin. Treated fat cells freeze and then die. Therefore, over time, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted form.
