Tralee's newest hotel is set to open its doors to the public this week. The Ashe Hotel, formerly known as The Abbeygate and The Tralee Central Hotel will open for business on Thursday.
Last October Tralee based developers Boyle Brothers bought the hotel, which closed in early 2014, that was placed on the market with a price tag of €1 million.

The reopening of the hotel, which follows a major refurbishment project, will create 50 new jobs.
The 100 bedroom hotel will initially open with 71 bedrooms.
Killarney native Stephen O'Connor, who spent the last five years managing Dooly's Hotel in Birr, County Offaly and previously worked in the Great Southern Hotels in Killarney and Parknasilla, has been appointed as General Manager.
Mr O'Connor said the outlook is good for the new hotel.
"The arrival and opening of the Ashe Hotel is an exciting addition to the tourism sector in Tralee and Kerry. We already have a comfortable booking base through the months of May to October and our team is ready to welcome visitors from the home holiday and international markets.," said Stephen O'Connor.
