Want to know more about the Noel Group before Jobs Expo Cork? We chatted to Tracey Scott, Regional Operations Manager for the Group and quizzed her for information.

You have a number of divisions and specialisms. Which ones will be attending Jobs Expo Cork?

In Cork, our consultants will be recruiting for Hospitality, Healthcare, Industrial, Logistics, Warehousing, Call Centre, Construction, Retail, Office and Secretarial. We will of course be delighted to all candidates regardless of the sector in which they wish to work.

What do you think are the 3 most important factors that set the Noel Group apart?

Firstly, I would say the longevity of the Noel Group indicates the level of experience that has be gained over such a sustained period. In addition, our network of branch offices nationwide enables Noel to offer our services in both city and rural locations. Finally, it would be our ability to provide and payroll large numbers of temporary workers on a daily basis from any of our branch locations.

How has recruitment changed in the 27 years of the Noel Group’s history?

The main difference would be the way in which we search for and attract candidates. We have had to embrace the age of Social Media and Digital Marketing, in order to engage with our candidates.

What kind of candidates are you hoping to meet at Jobs Expo Cork?

We will be looking for candidates who are actively looking for either temporary or permanent employment in any sector.

Before attendees meet you at Jobs Expo Cork is there any preparation they should do?

The best advice would be to have a clear idea of what type of work you are looking for and to have researched the necessary qualifications and experience these roles will require. I cannot stress enough the need for setting realistic goals that match the education, training and experience of the candidate for the role they hope to secure.

What should they bring?

The crucial element would be a current CV which includes all personal contact details, qualifications and previous work experience. Furthermore, another important part of our registration will require two or three references. These can be taken from previous employers, work experience, or voluntary and educational references for those candidates that have recently entered the employment market.

Can you tell us about some of the courses offered through Skills Team Training Services?

We currently offer a variety of courses including bespoke training courses. Some of the courses on offer at present include Food Safety, Manual Handling, Patient Handling courses, Safe Pass, Fire Warden, IOSH Certificate in Working Safely, Customer Care, Infection Prevention and Control and Elder Abuse.

Noel Retail is your newest division. What kinds of retail opportunities does this division cover?

Noel Retail works with clients across a broad spectrum of retails sectors including Food, Furniture, Pharmacy, Fashion, Beauty and Motor to name just a few.
