We’re almost a month away from Jobs Expo Galway. The west’s leading recruitment fair returns on Saturday 16th February and will take place at the Galway Racecourse.

Meet career coach, Aoife Collins, at Jobs Expo Cork on Saturday 17th November in Pairc Ui Chaoimh

A native of Cork, Aoife is a qualified career and executive coach, trainer and consultant and a mother of two young boys. She has over 18 years’ experience working with national and regional organisations in the public, non-profit and private sectors, both as an employee and on a self-employed basis. This has given Aoife an excellent insight into the challenges of developing a fulfilling career while trying to balance the needs of a young family, as well as the reality of the workplace and the challenges of both working within teams and running your own business.

 

Aoife Collins Coaching & Consulting provides tailored 1:1 career and business coaching to individuals and employees; workshops and training on career and leadership development for emerging leaders and teams; as well as training, external facilitation and evaluation services for organisations across the Munster region.

Aggie Pulfer is a people orientated person, with a solution focused mindset and a practical approach to business, career and life. She has built a coaching practice on rich work experience, strong academical background, passion for bringing the best out of others, and never-ending personal development.

When she was seven years old, she asked her granny to pay for her English classes, as she had a strong belief: one day she would find herself in an English-speaking country and after 20 years, she moved to Ireland! This is her home now: magical, friendly and supportive country, full of multinational and multicultural communities, and infinite opportunities for everyone.

From a professional point of view, she possesses a Master’s Degree in Coaching, several top-end certificates related to this field and, to Neuroscience, which she have been following for the past ten years.

We are talking about more than 200 hours of professional coaching, while still working full time in a different role, studying and taking care of her family and friends. Meet leading employers at Jobs Expo Cork on Wednesday, 16 November 2016

Ireland’s leading employment and careers fair, Jobs Expo, returns to Cork on 16 November. Taking place at the Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, Jobs Expo Cork features a fantastic range of job opportunities. Exhibitors recruiting at the event come from a variety of sectors including technology, pharmaceutical, customer service, education, emergency services, healthcare, investment and retail.

“Whether you’re looking for your first job, returning to work, or keen on a new challenge, there will be something for you at Jobs Expo Cork,” says organiser Kevin Branigan of Careers Unlimited.

Both Irish and multinational companies are taking part in Jobs Expo Cork. Exhibitors include the National Ambulance Service, PhoneWatch, Laya Healthcare, Aspira, Sanofi and BNY Mellon. The Government of the Isle of Man will also be there, highlighting the variety of career opportunities on the island.

Jobs Expo Cork also has a specialist area dedicated to STEM jobs. The STEM Sector hosts some of the most prestigious international as well as national employers in science, technology, engineering, and medicine. Exhibitors taking part include pharmaceutical giants Alkermes and Sanofi, cutting edge tech firm ArtofUs and international IT specialists Aspira in addition to the innovative start-up HiUp.

“At Jobs Expo Cork there are opportunities for graduates, school leavers, highly skilled and unemployed people, as well as anyone thinking of changing careers or upskilling,” says Kevin.

In addition to companies recruiting at the event, there will be a series of talks from industry insiders at Jobs Expo’s Seminar Zone. Speakers include the National Ambulance Service, who will give a seminar on careers opportunities in the emergency services. Geoff Brown of Hourglass Education will discuss common misconception about teaching in the UK. US Immigration Attorney Caro Kinsella also returns to Jobs Expo and will explain how getting a working visa to the States is not as hard as you might think.

Finally, the very popular Career Clinic returns. Over the course of the day, jobseekers will be able to meet one-on-one with career development coaches. Marian Brennan

Meet career coach Marian Brennan at Jobs Expo Cork

Marian Brennan is a qualified executive trainer and life coaching consultant. Her biggest passion in life is to encourage, motivate and assist people to become the best they possibly can be on whatever path or situation they find themselves facing.

Marian has taken many leaps of faith throughout her own life and career, and understands how difficult big decisions and choices can be. After working in a university for 20 years, she went back to study. This new path brought her to IBM for 15 years where she worked as an education facilitator/trainer before moving on to manage software and finance teams. Jobs Expo returns to Cork on 23 June

Jobs Expo 2016, Ireland’s leading employment and recruitment fair, returns to Cork on 23 June at the Clayton Hotel in Silver Springs.

Since 2012, Jobs Expo has been connecting candidates and employers.  Jobs Expo offers jobseekers the chance to find exciting career opportunities at home and abroad, and streamlines the recruitment process for employers by introducing them to quality candidates.

Meet Michael Heffernan at the Career Clinic

Michael is a qualified personal change coach and owner of The Chapter Coach Consultancy and Training Services Limited. He has extensive experience in training and development, HR and health and safety having worked in both public and private sector enterprises since 1999. Currently Michael is working as the Regional L&D Manager for Europe and North America in a large transport, logistics and supply chain organisation.

Michael is responsible for the design and delivery of all aspects of training and runs a very successful in-house development programme to ensure there is a readily available talent pool of future leaders. We are delighted that Lynda Murphy is joining Jobs Expo’s Career Clinic. Lynda has over 30 years’ experience. In 2005 she started with MacKenzie Young specialising in coaching, psychometric assessments, leadership development, mediation, change management, recruitment, outplacement and coaching both in Ireland and the UK.

Phil Jackson joins the Career Clinic

Phil Jackson has joined Jobs Expo’s popular Career Clinic and will be dispensing invaluable advise over the day. Phil is a business coach with accredited psychometric admin and feedback training in ability, personality and emotional intelligence testing. He has leadership and managerial experience spanning over 30 years.
