Leading employers McDonald's, Isle of Man Government, PhoneWatch, Aspira, BD and Peter Mark amongst others to recruit at Jobs Expo Cork

Ireland’s leading jobs and careers fair, Jobs Expo, is to return to Cork on Thursday 25th May. The biannual event will feature employers from a wide variety of sectors. This includes STEM, healthcare and hospitality, as well as ICT, medtech and retail, amongst others.

Exhibitors include multinationals such as BD Medical, Eurofins and McDonald’s as well as leading Irish companies such Aspira, PhoneWatch and Peter Mark. Also in attendance will be the Government of the Isle of Man showcasing the variety of career opportunities on the island. In addition, US Immigration Attorney Caro Kinsella returns to advise attendees on how to obtain a US Visa. More exhibitors are to be announced in the coming weeks.

 A wide range of employers and opportunities

“Jobs Expo Cork offers something for everyone. It is our firm belief that all our events should have a wide range of employers and career opportunities. There will be vacancies whether you are highly skilled, a recent graduate, returning to work, or a school leaver," says organiser Bronagh Cotter of Careers Unlimited and BCS Sales Recruitment.

“Companies need staff of all types, from highly trained professionals to experienced administrators as well as enthusiastic sales people and trainees. Jobs Expo gives attendees the chance to see what’s on offer in a variety of companies and industries, including ones they may not have considered previously,” explains Bronagh.

Free seminars and career advice

As well as companies recruiting at the event, there will also be a series of talks from industry insiders at Jobs Expo’s Seminar Zone and Agenda Stage. Talks include opportunities with Aspira, upskilling with Innopharma College of Applied Sciences in the as well as working in the USA. The Seminar Zone is free-of-charge to all attendees on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Finally, the very popular Career Clinic returns. Over the course of the day, jobseekers will be able to meet one-on-one with career development coaches. The coaches will offer expert professional development advice as well as help jobseekers land their dream job.
